Rencontre avec Dany Laferrière

To celebrate the 19th Francophonie Festival in Hong Kong and the distinguished lecture by Academician Dany Laferrière at HKU, students were invited to participate in a project around this famous writer and emblematic figure of the Francophonie as well to familiarize themselves with his work.

In the first part, participants were invited to learn about Dany Laferrière and to read samples of his work.

They then attended the launch the 19th Francophonie Festival in Hong Kong at The University of Hong Kong and the inaugural lecture by Dany Laferrière on the quintessential role that books and reading play in our life.

Finally participants, were asked to write a report using the observation they made throughout the project and to give their impression.
