The Francophonie Festival returns to Hong Kong in 2024 after last year’s successful celebrations. The Francophonie Festival is an annual event celebrating the French language and Francophone cultures. The event is organized in partnership by the Consulates General of France, Belgium, Switzerland and the Quebec Office, as well as many other partners wishing to promote the French-speaking world, including the Alliance Française de Hong Kong et Macao, through events taking place throughout the month of March.

The Francophonie Festival 2024 will start in Hong Kong with the opening ceremony on March 6, 2024 and end on March 24, 2024. Throughout the month of March, we offer a diverse series of events: cinema, exhibitions, readings, concerts, oratory competitions, conferences, gastronomic workshops; reaching a wide audience in several geographical areas of Hong Kong.

The 2024 edition will celebrate sporting values and Olympism. This choice of theme notably echoes the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will take place in Paris in July.

The events are aimed at everyone: French speakers and non-French speakers alike. Come and join us and our partners in celebrating the French-speaking world and Francophone cultures!
