HKU French football team joins the competition!

On Sunday, March 17th, a group of six students from the HKU French programme took part in the first French-speaking Football competition in Hong Kong.
This competition was organized by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the PSG Academy and the Alliance Française as part of the 2024 edition of the Fête de la Francophonie (The Francophone Festival). It saw more than 200 players from 20 different teams competing for the Champion’s trophy.
Being the only all-female team composed of local students, The HKU French team truly made an impact on the field with its enthusiasm and determination. Although losing two games, the team was awarded the Fair Play Cup for its positive attitude. Congratulations to all the players and their coaches on their achievement!
