EU-Asia Documentary Festival 2022

Do not miss the opportunity to discover on the big screen the documentaries selected for the EU-Asia Doc Fest which will take place from August 5 to 14, 2022 in Hong Kong.
This wide selection will feature documentaries from some European Union member countries, selected by their respective consulate in Hong Kong: Germany, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland and Sweden, including a documentary on Ukraine; as well as productions from Asian countries such as Burma, Mongolia and Afghanistan.
Each one will address a theme that echoes to the values carried by the European Union: human dignity, equality and freedom. Subjects as diverse and varied as human rights, migration, women’s rights, human trafficking, LGBTQIA+ rights, poverty and freedom of the press will be addressed in order to provide an in-depth reflection on how people around the world face the challenges of everyday life.
The documentary « Men Inside » (in French: Des Hommes) by Alice Odiot and Jean-Robert Viallet about the Baumettes prison in Marseille will be representing France for two screenings:
- Saturday August 6, 5:40pm at the Palace IFC
- Monday August 8, 8pm at the Broadway Cinematheque
