The objective of this course is to ensure that the students achieve a substantial level of receptive competence and active proficiency in French. The course pays particular attention to the ability to successfully read and analyze texts of increasing; express and articulate thoughts, feelings and opinions in both sopken and written French; listen and comprehend oral texts of various sources and diificulty; interact with others at an appropriate level of french; reflect on socio-cultural aspects of France and on global questions; discuss issues across cultures and societies, both in a critical and in a comparative fashion.
